Blood Brother Jakko & Tom Robinson order online
TOM  ROBINSON
After  meeting at the Edinburgh Festival in '87 Jakko went on to  record and play in Tom's band. Later that year they worked  on the music for Central TV's 'Hard Cases'.  This lead on to Tom asking Jakko to produce and co-write his  next solo LP. As work progressed Tom suggested that it be  released as a joint project such was Jakko's involvement.  Originally titled 'We never had it so good' and  released on Musidisc Records the album was subsequently  rereleased with additional and missing tracks as 'Blood  Brother'. Available on Tom's Castaway label  through Voiceprint the title track won Tom three categories  at the GLAMA awards in New York in 1998.

Sanity & Gravity order online
GAVIN  HARRISON
Jakko  co wote and played a variety of instruments on Gavin's first  solo release ' Sanity & Gravity ' on resurgence. To  say that Gav is an accomplished musician is an  understatement of the highest order. This is an intriguing  and fascinating album with a stellar cast of players.

Alice Alice team backstage
ALICE
Italian  singer song writer Alice has made a host of respected albums  in her native Italy. She began experimenting with English  & American musicians in the mid '80s with collaborations  with Tony Levin, Jerry Marrota & Phil  Manzanera on the 'Park Hotel' album. Her follow  up featured Richard Barbieri, Steve Jansen & John Hassel. During this period she head the Dizrythmia record and asked Jakko and Gavin to put a  band together for her. Two tours were followed by the  album.......... Which also featured Danny Thompson and Richard Barbieri. A tour to promote this in 1992  had Steve Jansen on drums, Richard on keys, Danny on Bass and Jakko on guitars, flute and  vocals.

Holi Holi & team order online
HOLI
Formally  known in Japan as Akiemi Koyabashi , Holli's first  English solo album was produced by Mick Karn & Steve Jansen and again features Richard  Barbieri, Danny Thompson as well as Jakko. Holi 's soon to be released new record also features  lyrics composed by Jakko.

The Tooth Mother
MICK  KARN
Mick  recorded most of his last full solo record 'The Tooth  Mother' at jakko's own Silesia Sound Studio. It features  Jakko on guitars as well as Flute, Sax, keyboards and a  whole host of odd ethnic instruments. This unusual and  experimental record also features Gavin Harrison, Richard  Barbieri and guitarist David Torn.

BILL  MYERS
Whilst  living in LA, Jakko co-wrote as well as played on keyboard  and arranger Bill Myers' solo album. The record also  features Jeff and Mike Porcaro along with  drummer Vinnie Collaiuter.

7 Year Itch
PIP  PYLE
Those of you familiar with Jakko's Canterbury connection  will now that he played with Pip in the short lived  '
Rapid  Eye Movement'.  Pip is a veteran of other Canterbury favourites as Gong, Hatfield & the North and National  Health to name but a few. Along with a Canterbury 'Who's  Who' of players, Dave Stewart, Hugh Hopper, Richard Sinclair , Phil Miller, Didier  Malherbe etc, Jakko plays guitar, flute and sings lead  vocal on four tracks.

Shari Belafonte
SHARI  BELAFONTE
Back  in LA Jakko produced the lions share of the first solo album  by Harry Belefonte 's actress/model daughter. A mixed  bag of a record but one that does feature some good Jakko  composition's and a band that has Jakko's guitars and keys  backed by Gavin Harrison on drums, John  Pattatucci on bass and Weather Report's Alex  Acuna on percussion.

Indigo Falls
INDIGO  FALLS
First  album by Richard Barbieri and his talented wife Suzanne. Atmospheric songs that feature Jakko's  guitar and low whistle playing along with Mick Karn and Porcupine Tree's Steve Wilson.

Jermaine Stewart
JERMAINE  STEWART
This is where things get unlikely. Jermaine had been a  dancer on US TV's 'Soul Train ' and then a backing  vocalist for Shallamar. His first solo album for Virgin was  produced by Pete Collins who drafted in Jakko for  guitar and help with some arrangements. The single and LP's  title track was a hit in the U.S. Jermaine asked Jakko to  help him co-write his new album. Jakko did and recorded +  produced several songs which ended up on the subsequent  ' Frantic Romantic'. A detailed tale of music biz  chicanery and woe will appear in the '
Life  Stories'  section and is not to be missed by all you cynics out  there.
