In the studio with Jakko

Jakko records at his own Silesia Studios. Using Logic Pro 7 on a Mac computer, his set-up allows the writing, playing and mixing processes to interweave, enabling his music to grow naturally and spontaneously.

When working with other musicians in different studios, guest contributions are recorded direct to a mobile hard disc.

Jakko is putting the finishing touches to the album, The Bruised Romantic Glee Club, available during summer 2006.

The music you can hear on this page is an early version of 'Nirvana For Mice' from Henry Cow's debut album, Legend. Jakko reckons this is one of the most difficult piece of music that he has ever played. Upon hearing a version of this track Robert Fripp commented 'this is too complex for me! I'll leave you younger boys to puzzle with it'.
