]]> Comment on Solo work by Thomas H Eriksen http://www.jakko.com/solo-work/#comment-34 Thomas H Eriksen Thu, 21 Jul 2011 21:25:22 +0000 http://www.jakko.com/?page_id=28#comment-34 Isn't it odd how one used to come across your name in odd, but always prog-related contexts (I was never into Level 42) ... something to do with Hammill and VDGG, and what was this with Greaves and Blegvad ... one could never quite figure out what you were up to, and then everything fell into place with "The Bruised Romantics Club", a miracle of a CD, there is a clear continuity here, obviously, with the prog tradition (made explicit on CD 2, of course), but it goes beyond hippy stuff and cleverness for its own sake, there is no fear of sentimentality and simplicity here, yet the result is complex, confident and beautiful. Can't wait to hear the recent albums! Cheers from Oslo!
