I take it nothing has happened in Jakko-land since December since that appears to be when the site was last updated. And as I mentioned to Tom in a previous message, a "What's New" page really would help.

Hi. I'm an unconfident career obsessed American who writes half a dozen totally unusable song portions that all sound the same before lunch time on a daily basis. I enjoyed your Michael Jackson narrative. However, I consider myself a childish American well-versed in the banal vernacular of my country, and I've never heard the term "winkle" used as an aphorism for male genitalia. Perhaps Mr.(?) Jackson was giggling because his thong was on backwards? Johnny Bird PS Would a massive multiple-page website containing a detailed year-by-year accounting of nearly everything one has done qualify one as "career obsessed," or does that term only apply if one is American?

In response to Agrajag who wrote: "How about including label & catalogue details for the albums so folk can order them. Also, how about a "What's new" type page showing recent changes to the site."... I've added hot links to all of the Jakko albums - and associated band albums - that can be bought direct via the web from Voiceprint, Jakko's record company. As for a "what's new" page, it seems nicer just dropping in here at the guest book to tell you straight from the horse's mouth whenever there've been some major changes. Hopefully Jakko will be adding stuff of his own direct to the site anyway within a month or two and I'll be out of a job ! Best to y'all - enjoy...

It is the current, if often disingenuous, fashion when writing about a person, company, charitable organisation or pet sheep to which one has a fiscal or physical 'attachment' to declare said interest. So before I continue I declare, despite my ambivalence towards most musicians, market-movers, bankers, decorators and plumbers, that as irony rusts, I am a delighted to be an olde (sic) friend and fan of the subject of this nouveau guest book. Tom Robinson, another 'political' song writer, who I look forward to meeting someday, has done a brilliant job of design and construction. (I'll steal some ideas for my new site!) Jakko - You, despite and/or because of your unusual entry and progress through the world, a journey that has remarkable parallels with mine, are a force to be reckoned with! Long may it be so! OK. I now have to get on with my charitable work (hah) for the BACS, composers (who I DO like) and Ivor Novello awards. Ah, dear Ivor who wrote that never to be forgotten song "I Caught My Lilacs In The Spring Again".

Hi Jakko, Love those life stories! They call up memories of too many touring gigs I've done. Although, I must say, you've got me beat hands-down on the Spinal Tap-esque side of things. Found your site throught the Level42 mailing list (you know, the one that Loz Green once accidentally posted your e-mail address to). If you're ever gigging in Toronto, let me know.  ...Alex...

Welcome to Jakko's website and to the the Jakko guestbook - it looks a bit weird on my browser - you have to scroll all the way over to the right to leave your message. But I'm sure we'll sort it out shortly. Enjoy - Tom R (site designer)
